Why we exist

Toronto's registration system is unforgiving, and most operators find out the hard way.

The City of Toronto treats short-term rental compliance as a moving target. A registration can be denied over a principal residence mismatch, an address problem, or a building restriction the operator never knew about. The fee is not refundable. A permit can be revoked, and the operator has a short window to respond. Quarterly Municipal Accommodation Tax is owed even for a quarter with no bookings.

We built Permit Ready Pros because there was no company treating this like the operational, data heavy problem it actually is. Property managers were doing compliance as a side task. Everyone else was reactive. So we built the system we wished existed, a platform that watches the City's public data every day, tracks every host and unit, and turns compliance from a scramble into a routine.

How we operate

Disciplined about our scope.

Permit Ready Pros works on behalf of operators. We prepare and organize evidence, keep filings current, and explain what the rules require in plain language. We do not provide legal advice, we do not represent operators in legal proceedings, and we never share an operator's information with the City. The City of Toronto's Municipal Licensing and Standards division is the authority on compliance status. That boundary is deliberate, and it protects the people we work for.

We also believe compliance information should be honest. A free check is a readiness signal, not a verdict. We would rather tell an operator the truth early than sell false confidence.
